As Chief Information Security Officer for Proxios, Ben brings over 20 years of experience in both technical and policy-driven security. He has extensive international experience managing security programs that span the globe. Ben was the lead for all NSA/US Government compliancy initiatives as the Deputy CISO, Corporate Security International for Tata Communications, a global communications and enterprise IT service provider.
During his time at Tata, Ben worked to streamline and harden the security policies and architecture of all international components (Asia, Europe, North America, Australia) and personally implemented a global governance procedure for over 5K network devices. He has received multiple awards and commendations from the U.S. government, and was personally commended by the Department of U.S. Navy for exceptional direct on-site technical and design support for Japanese Earthquake Relief, Operation Tomodachi. His work for both Tata Communications and the Department of Defense have provided him with the knowledge and skills to effectively adapt to many types of security initiatives, but the NIST framework is where he focuses his efforts. He’s a volunteer junior soccer coach every year in the Spring and Fall and a full-time golf caddy year round.
